once when I was a child we were in some kind of store that had those cheap ass plastic glow in the dark stones Laying Around. they weren't for sale or anything (no packaging, no barcode, no pricing, just individual plastic rocks laying around) and me, being a Child, thought this was super cool and just pocketed one. later my mother saw the plastic pebble and asked where I got that and I reluctantly revealed that I took it from the store. and she immediately went "you STOLE it???? you STOLE an ITEM?????" and then my grandma chimed in and looked at me like I had killed a whole man with my own two hands and went "no.... you didn't.... you stole something...." and then they dragged my ass back to the store and made me go up to the register to present the minimum wage worker there with the pebble and made me admit I ✨stole✨ it and made me give it back to her while she looked on like "ok. why is this happening to me" and I still think about it. it's been like 19 years. why did they pretend like I committed a horrible crime. they deadass acted like I robbed a jewellery store. I took a little glow in the dark pebble..... that was decoration only..... and cost less than one singular cent when you buy a set of them..... why did they do all that to me like fr
